What does Comprehensive Car Insurance cover?
Damage from natural events.
Such as storms, floods, earthquakes or other extreme weather.
Towing.
We'll tow your car to the nearest safe or secure place after a covered incident.
Damage made by other drivers or passengers.
Cover for your legal liability if you’re legally responsible for if you've allowed someone else to drive your car or due to a passenger getting in or out of your vehicle during a covered incident.
Lock and car key replacement.
Up to the value of $1,000 if they’re stolen.
Trailers or caravans.
Up to $1,000 if you’re towing a trailer or caravan and it's damaged along with your vehicle during a covered incident.
Emergency travel and accommodation.
Up to $500 of urgent travel and accommodation expenses if you’re more than 200km from home and your car is stolen or can't be driven.
Essential repairs.
Up to $500 to restore your car to a roadworthy condition, so you can drive to your intended destination.
Child safety and prams.

Agreed Value is the amount we agree to insure your car for during the Period of Insurance.
This amount will be shown on your Certificate of Insurance, where applicable.
Market Value is the reasonable market-related value or our assessment of what the general market would pay for your car. It takes into account the age, make, model, condition and kilometres travelled immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
The market value may be subject to a limit, which if applicable will be shown on your Certificate of Insurance.
You can lodge your Car Insurance claim quickly and easily via your My Insurance Portal account. Login now to start your claim.
To lodge a claim, you'll need the full name, address and registration number of any other parties involved, as well as the telephone and licence number of the other driver if possible.

We accept payment via direct debit from either a bank account or credit card, which can be on an annual or monthly basis. Unfortunately, we do not accept BPAY® payments at the moment.
New customers:
You will set up a direct debit at the time of purchasing a policy. Your first and future payments will then be automatically debited within five business days.
Current customers:
If your policy is renewing, you don’t need to make any manual payments. We’ll send you a renewal notice at least 14 days before the renewal date.
Your policy renewal and payment will automatically occur unless you advise us otherwise prior to the renewal date.
If we offer renewal, the policy will automatically renew as per the renewal notice. We will send you this renewal notice at least 14 days before your renewal date which will outline what you need to do to stay covered. You should check your renewal notice carefully and contact us on 1300 10 1234 if you need to make any changes to your policy or details, or if you'd like to opt out of automatic renewal.
With automatic renewal, your renewal notice will set out the proposed new policy terms and premium. If no changes are required to your policy and your premium payments are up to date, you don’t need to do anything – your policy will automatically renew.
If you opted out of automatic renewal, your renewal notice will advise you to call to continue your cover. We will provide you with a quote and policy terms. If you’re happy to proceed, we will renew your policy.

You can manage your Car Insurance policy via My Insurance Portal.
From your account, you will be able to:
- Update your email address and phone number
- Update your credit or debit card details
- Access your Certificate of Insurance
- Increase your Odometer end reading (for Drive Less Pay Less)
If you need to make other changes to your policy, such as updating your physical address, you can contact us on 1300 10 1234 during our operating hours. Note that if your policy is pending renewal, online changes might be restricted.
We'll assist you in making arrangements for covered repairs to be carried out by a qualified repairer.
We'll choose a repairer from our extensive network located as close as possible to your home or work. Simply take your car to them and ask them for a quote.
We'll guarantee all repairs on your car undertaken by a repairer who has been appointed by us for as long as you own your car and is not transferable.

To receive up to 12,000 Everyday Rewards points, you need to enter promo code BF12K and successfully link your active, registered Everyday Rewards Card to your new Everyday Car Insurance policy when you buy it during the offer period.You will receive your Everyday Rewards points in monthly instalments of 1,000 points, up to a total of 12,000 points over the first year of your policy. This is provided your policy remains active and premium payment(s) are up to date. The first instalment of 1,000 points will be added to your Everyday Rewards Card within 40 days after your first premium payment has been made in full. Following this, 1,000 points will be added to your card by the 15th day of each month, provided your premiums are up to date and your policy remains active.
