Everyday Pet Insurance Booster Care and Routine Care (non-insurance benefit)

To help keep your beloved companion happy and healthy, we offer two optional benefits.

You can choose the Booster Care benefit for specified dental conditions or specialised therapies (like behavioural therapies and physiotherapy) up to $2,000per year, or opt for the Routine Care (non-insurance benefit) to claim up to $120 per year (in fixed contributions) for preventative care items like desexing, vaccinations and health checks.

What is Booster Care?

Booster Care provides cover for costs of treatment of specified dental conditions and specialised therapies like physiotherapy, acupuncture and behavioural therapies. Annual limit of $2,000 applies, additional to the policy annual benefit limit.v

What does Booster Care cover?

Specified dental conditions.v

Cover under this section of the policy is restricted to eligible vet expenses incurred for scaling, polishing, dental x-rays and tooth removal for the following specified dental conditions only:

Gingivitis;

Abscesses;

odontoclastic resorptive lesions;

dental disease arising from infection;

retained deciduous teeth;

cavities or;

orfractured teeth due to dental disease.

Waiting period: 6 months.

Specialised therapies.v

Cover under this section includes procedures, tests and legally prescribed medicine for the specialised therapy items below, when it is deemed necessary by your vet to treat a covered condition:

Physiotherapy or physical therapy carried out by a qualified animal physiotherapist or vet;

Chiropractic manipulation carried out by a staff member of a veterinary practice, provided the staff member is a qualified animal chiropractor;

Acupuncture carried out by a vet;

Hydrotherapy carried out by a staff member of a veterinary practice in a pool or on a water treadmill owned by the veterinarypractice;

Prescribed medication and diagnostic tests for behavioural conditions diagnosed by your vet or a veterinary behaviouralspecialist, or:

Consultations with a veterinary behavioural specialist for behavioural conditions.

Waiting period: Dependent on the waiting period for the covered condition.

2 days for accidental injuries.

30 days for illnesses.

30 days for behavioral conditions.

6 months for cruciate ligament conditions.

What is Routine Care (non-insurance benefit)?

Routine Care provides a contribution towards preventative and expected routine care items for your pet such as vaccinations and annual check-ups. Routine Care is a non-insurance benefit.

Annual limit of $120 applies, additional to the annual benefit limit. Note that benefit percentage and annual excess do not apply to Routine Care benefits.

What to expect when you make an optional benefit claim.

After any applicable waiting periods have been met, the easiest way to claim is online. Simply upload a copy of the itemised invoice and the consultation notes from your vet visit, if applicable, through MyPet Portal via My Insurance Portal.

Once your claim is submitted, a claims specialist will assess your claim and make a decision on the outcome.

If your claim is approved we will then reimburse you up to the applicable Booster Care or Routine Care limit.
